U.S. Cellular Simple Connect Prepaid Plans offer lower monthly plan rates and more data U.S. Cellular has improved its Simple Connect Prepaid Plans recently by lowering monthly rates of two of its smartphone plans and adding more high speed data. The old $50 unlimited plan with 500 MB of high-speed data is now available for $45 and includes first 1GB at high-speeds. The $60 unlimited plan with first 2 GB of high speed data is now available for $55 per month. Customers can also pay $65 per month and get 4GB of high speed data. Read more

Ultra Mobile adds more data to $29 and $39 plansT-Mobile MVNO Ultra Mobile that focuses on international calling services has added more high speed data to the $29 and the $39 monthly plans. The $29 plan now includes 1 GB of 4G LTE data instead of previous 500 MB while the $39 plan now comes with 750 MB of 4G LTE data instead of 500 MB. TracFone to pay $40M for throttling or cutting off unlimited dataThe Federal Trade Commission has fined the TracFone, U.S. subsidiary of America Movil, for throttling or completely cutting off data to customers who have signed up for unlimited data. False advertizing of unlimited data from 2009 through 2014 will cost them $40 million. Customers who have been misled by TracFone subsidiaries as Straight Talk, NET10, Simple Mobile and Telcel America in any way, whose ‘unlimited data’ were throttled between 1 and 3 gigabytes without any explanation, whose data were cut off entirely after reaching 4 or 5 gigabytes or for even losing their service completely (talk, text, and data) in some cases, are eligible to getting their money back.
