Aio Wireless plans changed – new plan prices and new high-speed data allotments
Beginning today, Aio Wireless customers can choose from $40, $50 and $60 monthly service plans. The $40 Basic plan includes unlimited voice minutes, unlimited messages and 500 MB of high-speed data. Previously, this plan included 250 MB of high-speed data. The $50 Smart plan includes unlimited voice minutes, unlimited messages and 2.5 GB of high-speed data. Previously, this plan was priced $55 and it’s offered only 2 GB of high-speed data. The $60 Pro plan includes unlimited voice minutes, unlimited messages and 5 GB of high-speed data. Previously, the plan was available for $70 per month and included 7 GB of high-speed data.
Customers can add 1GB of additional high-speed data for $10 per month. Data are throttled to 256 Kbps when high-speed data allotment is reached. Aio is offering LTE limited to a maximum of 8 Mbps and HSPA+ to 4 Mbps.
Additionally, Aio customers who sign up to new plans can opt for automatic payment and save extra $5 per month. Those who are on Auto Pay with old $55 and $70 plans need to change to new rate plans in order to participate. Also, monthly prices of all Aio Wireless plans already include all taxes and fees.
Other Aio Wireless prepaid plans include tablet plan with only data included. Aio tablet plan is available for $15 per month and offers 250MB of high-speed data.
Aio Wireless is AT&T’s prepaid brand which will be folded into Cricket brand ones AT&T completes the acquisition of Leap Wireless, Cricket’s parent company. The acquisition should finalize sometime in the first quarter of 2014.
