Airvoice data rate lowered from 33¢ to 6¢ per MB
AT&T MVNO Airvoice Wireless now has a new, significantly cheaper data rate that it charges customers per megabyte. Pay as you go Airvoice data rate is now 6¢ per MB instead of 33¢. The change is not reflected on the carrier’s website yet but Prepaid Phone News confirmed it with its representative.
The carrier charges new 6¢ per megabyte data rate in Pay As You Go options, the $10 and $30 plan as well as an overage data rate when customers use up their data allotment in monthly plans.
Airvoice Wireless currently offers pay as you go option as well as five monthly plans of which three include data and one, $10 plan, acts more like a pay as you go option. If customers need any additional pay per use features except the ones included in the plans, they will need a $10 Cash Card. Additional data per MB included in the Cash Card are 6¢, also 6¢ per MMS, while international texts and picture messaging cost 20¢ each.
The $55 monthly plan offers unlimited talk, text, picture messaging and 1 GB of data. A $10 international call credit and 100 international SMS is included as well.
The $40 monthly plan offers unlimited talk, text, picture messaging and 500 MB of data. In addition, the plan includes a $10 international call credit ad 100 international SMS. However, a Prepaid Phone News reader reports that carrier cuts off data when user reaches 400 MB and is required to call Airvoice to get access to the last 100 MB.
The $35 monthly plan offers unlimited talk, text, picture messaging and 100 MB of data. In addition, plan includes a $10 international call credit ad 100 international SMS.
The $30 monthly plan includes unlimited talk, text and picture messaging. Data is available at 6¢/MB data rate.
The $10 monthly plan offers rates at 4¢ per minute, 2¢ per SMS, 10¢ per MMS, 20¢ per international SMS and MMS plus data used and 6¢ per MB of data.
Airvoice Wireless’s pay as you go option includes rates: 8¢ – 10¢ per minute, 10¢ per text, 20¢ per international text, 10¢ plus data used per MMS, 20¢ plus data used per international MMS and 6¢ per MB. Cards available are $10, $20, $30, $50 and $100 that last 90, 120, 150, 180 days and one year, respectively.
It is also expected that AT&T MVNO H2O Wireless lowers data rate from 30¢ to 10¢ starting August 1, which makes Airvoice a better option.
