Android 5.0 Lollipop now rolling out to Moto X and Moto G 2nd Generation
Motorola has announced that the 2nd generation Moto X and the Moto G have started receiving update to the latest Android version today, Android 5.0 Lollipop. The company will be rolling the update in phases to the 2nd generation smartphones: Moto X Pure Edition, Moto G US GSM and the Moto G Global GSM versions that are sold in the U.S.
Back in October, Motorola has revealed that not just the 2nd generation Moto handsets will be receiving an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop. The latest version of Android will be coming to the first generation Moto X and Moto G as well as to the Moto E and the Moto G 4G LTE.
The update will bring a new Material Design look, responsive, natural and realistic, new way of controlling notifications with “Downtime” and “Interruption” settings, improved battery thanks to saver mode that extends its life up to 90 minutes, “Guest” mode and more.
Sprint’s Nexus 5 has also started receiving update to Android 5.0 Lollipop today.
