Assurance Wireless offers its service in Missouri
Assurance Wireless has announced today that its free service, specially designed for low-income families, has become available in Missouri. Assurance provides service with 250 free voice minutes and 250 free texts per month in addition to a free handset for those who qualify. Those who qualify are usually part of other public assistance programs as well. The service is limited to one line per household. With free minutes, texts and phone, customers are also entitled to call waiting, caller ID and access to 911.
Assurance’s customers that need more airtime can add additional minutes and text. For $5 per month, users can double their minutes and texts. For $20 per month, they can have 1000 voice minutes and 1000 texts while for $30 per month, they can have unlimited talk, text and data. There are also add-on options available. Customers can add voice minutes, text, email and international calling. Users can keep their existing home or cell phone number as well.
Missouri is a 40th state where Assurance operates. The Federal Universal Service Fund supports Assurance Wireless while Virgin Mobile USA, Sprint’s prepaid brand, runs it.
