AT&T GoPhone iPhone SE Can Be Ordered Now
AT&T’s prepaid brand GoPhone has added iPhone SE, the latest Apple’s smartphone to its prepaid phone lineup. GoPhone iPhone SE 16GB model can be ordered for $399.99, while 64GB version is available for $499.99. The phone will start shipping on March 30, 2016.
iPhone SE has been released three days ago and so far only major carriers, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon, have announced its availability. GoPhone is the first prepaid brand to announce this “the most powerful 4-inch phone ever.”
GoPhone iPhone SE Specs
In addition to a 4-inch Retina display, LED-backlit IPS LCD with 640 x 1136 pixels resolution, GoPhone iPhone SE features the latest version of iOS 9.3 OS, A9 dual-core 1.84 GHz Twister processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 64GB internal storage (no memory card slot), 12-megapixel main camera with dual-LED flash and 4K video 2160p@30fps, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera with 720p@30fps HD video and non-removable Li-Po 1642 mAh battery that provides up to 14 hours of talk time and up to 240 hours of standby time. For connectivity, it uses 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, WiFi, GPS and NFC for Apple Pay only.
Specs wise, the iPhone SE is similar to iPhone 6s but in size, it matches iPhone 5S. Even cases of iPhone 5S fit to the new iPhone SE. Just to compare, iPhone SE 16GB is available for $400 while iPhone 6s costs $650 for the same storage so some might find this a good deal.
Those interested in GoPhone iPhone SE can chose to order it in space gray, rose gold, gold and silver color.
GoPhone iPhone SE can be paired with the $45 and the $60 prepaid plans that include unlimited talk, text and data with first 2GB and 5GB at high speeds, respectively. Also, both plans offer unlimited messaging to over 100 countries but the $60 plan adds to it roaming in Canada and Mexico; customers can make unlimited calls, send unlimited texts and use the high-speed data within and between US, Mexico, and Canada.
Both plans can be cheaper $5 per month if customers enroll in auto pay. They can also rollover data but only for a 30 day period. Rolled over data will be used last, after data add-ons (if any are added) and regular monthly data allotment. GoPhone throttles data speeds to 128Kbps until the next billing cycle, when high speed data limit is reached in a monthly plan. For more high speed data, there are data add-ons available: 500MB for $10 on $45 plan and 1GB for $10 on $60 plan options.
There is also a $30 plan that includes unlimited talk, text, international messaging to over 100 countries and WiFi access while cellular high speed data can be added for$5 per month – 100MB.
