AT&T MVNOs Airvoice Wireless and Jolt Mobile introduce changes to its plans

AT&T MVNOs Airvoice Wireless and Jolt Mobile introduce changes to its plansAirvoice Wireless and Jolt Mobile, both AT&T MVNOs, have recently introduced changes to its plans. Airvoice Wireless also revamped its website in a more practical way and added new $40 monthly plan with unlimited talk, text, MMS and 25 MB of data while Jolt Mobile has launched $35 per month Unlimited Talk and Text Plan.

After adding new $10/month PAYGO plan two months ago, Airvoice Wireless now increases the minutes, text and data allotment in $35, $50 and $60 plan and introduces new $40 monthly plan. The new $40 plan includes unlimited talk, text, MMS, 25MB of data and $10 a month worth of international calls but with MMS and data being available soon.

The $35 monthly plan now has unlimited minutes (previously was 5000), unlimited text (was 10000), MMS 10¢ each and data 33¢ per MB remains the same. The $50 monthly plan includes unlimited talk, text (also were limited to 5000 minutes and 10000 texts), unlimited MMS (was limited to 10000), 500MB of data (were 100MB) and $10/month worth of international calls. And the $60 plan now has everything unlimited, 1GB of data (was 500MB) and $10 a month worth of international calls.

Raising data allotments are welcome change but the question is if unlimited talk and text are truly going to be unlimited since all smaller AT&T MVNOs have a cap at 5000, 10000 minutes and texts even though they are promoting it as unlimited. It is very possible that they made these changes just to match how other AT&T MVNOs promote its plans rather than to offer truly unlimited talk and text.

Jolt Mobile also recently lowered data cap from 2GB to 1GB on its $60 unlimited plan which now includes unlimited talk, text, MMS, 1GB of data and up to 500 international rollover minutes($3.33 International Call Credit). Now, Jolt Mobile introduces new $35 plan with unlimited talk and text and no MMS, data or international calling included, same as at Airvoice’s $35 plan.

Except for $60 and $35 plan, at Jolt Mobile users can choose from $40 monthly plan with unlimited talk and text and $3.33 international call credit while $50 plan includes unlimited talk, text and MMS, $3.33 international call credit and 500MB of data.

And for those who need more international minutes, there is a $65 monthly plan with unlimited talk, text, MMS, international calls and 500MB of data.

Jolt Mobile also cuts PAYGO rates. Now, MMS is 10¢ each and data is 30¢ per MB while top up lasts 90 days.

The “unlimited” plans still has a cap of 5000 minutes, only the wording has change, and if you go over, you will have no service until you recharge. The only true unlimited is AT&T itself, however their plans are a bit more expensive.
