Boost Mobile has announced today the pricing of its upcoming iPhones. Boost iPhone 5S 16GB model will cost $549.99, 32GB model $649.99 and 64GB model $749.99. Boost iPhone 5C 16GB model will be available for $449.99 while 32GB model will be priced at $549.99. iPhone 4S will also be added to the Boost’s prepaid lineup for $299.99. Boost iPhones will be compatible with a $55 monthly unlimited plan that offers unlimited talk, text and data throttled to 256 Kbps after 2.5GB of high-speed data. Boost iPhones will be running on Sprint’s CDMA network and LTE, which is currently available in 230 markets across the country. Customers will be able to lower their monthly bill up to $15 per month after 18 on-time payment, $5 off every six on-time payments. That would make unlimited service available for $40 per month.
Announced prices for which Boost will sell the Apple’s flagship phones are $100 off of the Apple’s full retail price. Virgin Mobile, also Sprint’s prepaid brand and Boost’s sister company, is selling its iPhone 5S and 5C, all models and in variety of colors, for the same price, as well. Cricket, on the other hand, is offering only 16GB versions of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C for $599.99 and $499.99, respectively. Aio Wireless, AT&T’s prepaid brand, is selling iPhone 5S 16GB for $649.99 and iPhone 5C 16GB model for $549.99 and 32GB model for $649.99.
AT&T is in process of acquiring Leap Wireless, Cricket’s parent company. They need the approval of the FCC and Department of Justice but analysts expect deal to go through. AT&T expects to close the transaction by the end of 2013 and ones they do, they will combine Aio Wireless and Cricket and continue to offer prepaid service under Cricket brand.
