Boost Mobile HTC Bolt Water-Resistant Launches for 399.99
Sprint’s brand Boost Mobile has included the HTC Bolt, a new water-resistant smartphone, to its prepaid phone lineup. The Bolt is the first phone compatible with Sprint’s LTE Plus network which offers faster service with double network capacity and increased speed. Boost Mobile HTC Bolt is available online for 399.99.
Boost Mobile HTC Bolt Specs
The Bolt features a 5.5-inch qHD (2560×1440) display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and the latest version of Android OS, 7.0 Nougat. It has a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, expandable to up to 2TB via MicroSD card. The phone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with flash and 4K video capture and 8-megapixel front-facing camera. In addition, for connectivity, the HTC Bolt uses Stereo Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, HD Voice and mobile hotspot. A 3200mAh non-removable lithium battery powers the phone and provides up to 23 hours of talk time.
Besides resistant to water, this metal unibody designed smartphone is IP57-rated and resistant to splash and dust, too.
Boost Mobile Plans
HTC Bolt works with Boost’s $30 and $50 Unlimited Gigs plans. They include:
- $35 plan ($30 with autopay) – unlimited talk, messaging and data with 2GB at high speed. It has 50 minutes of domestic voice roaming, hotspot usage and unlimited free music streaming that doesn’t count against plan’s high speed data. Additional high speed data is available: $5/1GB and $10/2GB.
- $50 Unlimited Gigs plan – unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE data. Streaming of video, music and gaming is optimized; video at up to 480p, music at up to 500Kbps and gaming up to 2Mbps. Also, hotspot is limited to 8GB of 4G LTE data. For extra $20 a month, customers can add HD streaming; video at up to 1080p+, music at up to 1.5Mbps and gaming at up to 8Mbps.
