Boost Mobile iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launching October 17
After revealing October last month as a timeline in which iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be offered, Sprint prepaid brand Boost Mobile announced the release date today as well. Boost will start selling the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus on October 17, 2014, a week from now.
Just as with earlier iPhone models that Boost Mobile’s released in the past, the latest iPhones, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, will be offered for $100 less than the Apple’s full retail price.
Boost will be selling the iPhone 6 16GB model for $549.99, the 64GB model for $649.99 and the 128GB model for $749.99. The iPhone 6 Plus 16GB model will be available for $650, the 64GB model for $750, and the 128GB model for $850.
Boost Mobile Plans
Through November 3, 2014, Boost Mobile is offering double high speed data allotments in a $5 less priced service plans per month. The $35 plan (regularly costs $40) includes unlimited talk, text and data with first 1 GB at high speeds (regular 500 MB). The $45 plan (regular $50) has first 5 GB at high speeds (regular 2.5 GB) while the $55 plan (regular $60) offers first 10 GB at high speeds (regular 5 GB). Customers will be able to keep the plans as long as they keep the account active or don’t switch the plan after promotion ends, Boost Mobile throttles data speeds to 128 Kbps until the next billing cycle after high speed data allotment is used up in a month.
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Specs
The latest iPhones come with a faster and 50% more energy efficient A8 64-bit chip than last year’s, the latest iOS 8 platform, improved 8-megapixel iSight cameras, 1.2-megapixel front-facing cameras, Siri, fingerprint reader and up to 128GB of storage. The iPhone 6 features a 4.7-inch display while the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch Retina HD display. iPhone 6 Plus also has a longer lasting battery comparing to iPhone 6 and optical image stabilization.
