Boost Mobile launches Huawei Union for $79.99
Sprint’s prepaid brand Boost Mobile has added Huawei Union to its prepaid lineup. Boost’s sister company Virgin Mobile is selling the same phone at Best Buy for few days now and plans to add it on its website on October 13, 2015. Boost Mobile launches Huawei Union, a 4G LTE phone with Android 5.1 OS, on its website for $79.99.

In addition to 4G LTE, enhanced LTE connectivity and Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, the Union features a 4.5-inch display, 1.1GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot for up to 32GB of extra memory. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera, no front-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and support for mobile hotspot that’s charged additionally. The Huawei Union is powered by a 2,000 mAH removable li-ion battery that provides up to 12 hours of talk time.
Boost Mobile Huawei Union is compatible with newly introduced growing data plans that add 500MB of high speed data after every 3 on-time payments; up to 3GB of extra data after 18 on-time payments as well as with its unlimited high speed data plan. New Boost’s plans growing data plans are:
- $35 plan ($30 with auto pay) – unlimited talk, text and data with 2GB at high speed that can grow up to 5GB after 18 on-time payments
- $45 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 5GB at high speed that can grow up to 8GB after 18 on-time payments
- $60 plan – unlimited talk, text and data (unthrottled)
Boost Mobile currently offers promotional prices for phones to those who switch to their service. Customers who port their phone number from a carrier that’s not related to Sprint will be able to get free phones as Alcatel OneTouch Elevate and Conquest, LG Tribute and Tribute 2, Nokia Lumia 635, Moto E, ZTE Speed and HTC Desire 510 while other phones are discounted and available for: LG Volt 2 – $29.99, ZTE Warp Elite and Warp Sync – $29.99 each, LG G Stylo – $49.99 and Samsung Galaxy Prevail LTE – $79.99. The switching promotion is good through January 3, 2016.
