Boost Mobile Launches New $60 Unlimited Plan with 20GB Hotspot and HD Streaming for a Limited Time
Sprint’s prepaid brand Boost Mobile today introduced a new promotional $60 Unlimited Plus plan. The carrier’s new plan comes with unlimited talk, text and data, HD streaming and 20 GB of mobile hotspot data. Boost Mobile launches new $60 unlimited plan today, February 9, 2018 and will end it on April 5, 2018.
Current Boost Mobile Plan Lineup
In addition to unlimited talk, text and data, HD streaming and 20 GB of mobile hotspot data, the new $60 Unlimited Plus plan comes with 50 domestic voice roaming minutes. There is also a limit of 23GB of data usage during billing cycle in period of network congestion.
Now that Boost Mobile launches new $60 Unlimited Plus plan, carrier’s prepaid plan lineup looks like this:
- $35 monthly 3 Gigs of 4G LTE plan – unlimited talk, text and data with first 3GB at 4G LTE (throttled to 2G speeds after 4G LTE). Mobile hotspot included and music streaming (with select partners) without data charges.
- $50 monthly Unlimited Gigs Plan – unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE data, optimized for video streaming at up to 480p+ resolution, music at up to 500Kbps, gaming at up to 2Mbps. It includes 8GB of mobile hotspot data. Data deprioritization applies during period of network congestion after 23 GB of usage.
- $60 monthly Unlimited Plus promotional plan – unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE data, HD streaming, 20 GB mobile hotspot data, 50 domestic voice roaming minutes. There is also a limit of 23GB of data usage during billing cycle in period of network congestion.
Boost Mobile Launches New $60 Unlimited Plus Plan with Family Discount
New Boost Mobile $60 plan also comes with family discount. Customers can add this new plan as a line to a family plan at the cost of $40 per month. On the $50 plan, customers can add a line for $30 per month.
Two lines on the $60 plan will cost $100/month (save $20), three lines $140/month (save $40), four lines $180/month (save $60) and five lines $220/month (save $80).
Comparing the New $60 Unlimited Plus Plan to the $50 Unlimited Gigs Plan
Comparing to the $50 Unlimited Gigs plan that streams video at standard definition quality (up to 480p), the new $60 Unlimited Plus plan comes with high definition streaming that enhances quality of streaming to up to 1080p. Customers can add HD streaming to $50 plan anyway for $10 per month but adding more than a double of hotspot data justifies the cost of the $60 plan.
The $50 plan includes 8GB of mobile hotspot data while new promotional plan offers 20 GB. Users should be able to use data that they’ve paid for in any way they want but since that’s not the case with most providers, it’s good when at least enough data for connecting other devices is added to the cost of the plan.
The new limited time option is available to new and existing customers until April 5, 2018.
