Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile HTC Desire 510 to launch next week for $99.99
Sprint today announced that it will launch the HTC Desire 510 with its postpaid service as well as with its prepaid brands, Boost and Virgin Mobile. HTC announced the Desire 510 last month for these three carriers as well as for Cricket Wireless. Boost Mobile will start selling it in white color on September 22nd in stores and September 23rd on its website. Virgin Mobile HTC Desire 510 will be available on the carrier’s website starting September 23rd in blue, also for $99.99.
The Desire 510 that HTC has described as affordable “perfect mobile media device“ features a 4.7-inch (854×480) display, quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. In addition, the phone comes with Android 4.4 KitKat OS, HTC Sense UI with BlinkFeed, 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing one. It has a Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA, GPS, HD Voice, Sprint Spark tri-band LTE connectivity and a removable 2100mAh battery.
Boost customers can pair the HTC Desire 510 with the latest promotional plans that offer double data for $5 less per month. The $35 plan (reg. $40) includes unlimited talk, text and data with first 1 GB at high speeds (reg. 500 MB), the $45 plan (reg. $50) first 5 GB at high speeds (reg. 2.5 GB) and the $55 plan (reg. $60) first 10 GB at high speeds (reg. 5 GB).
Virgin Mobile service plans also start at $35 per month and include unlimited text and data with first 2.5GB at high speeds. The $35 plan has 300 voice minutes, $45 has 1200 and $55 plan offers unlimited voice minutes.
AT&T owned Cricket Wireless will start selling the HTC Desire 510 on September 19 for $149.99.
