Boost and Virgin Mobile LG K3 launching for $79.99
Sprint today announced that its prepaid brands Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile have added the LG K3, new affordable Marshmallow smartphone, to their prepaid lineups. Boost and Virgin Mobile LG K3 is available on carriers’ websites starting today for $79.99. At Boost Mobile stores and select independent wireless retailers, the phone will start being available next week.
Boost and Virgin Mobile LG K3 Specs
Besides Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, the LG K3 features a 4.5-inch IPS display, 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with up to 3.10 GB available to user and support for MicroSD cards up to 32GB. The phone has a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash and HD camcorder and VGA front-facing camera with selfie light that can capture selfies using voice commands, hand gesture or a timer. For connectivity, the LG K3 uses 3G/4G LTE, mobile hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi and MicroUSB 2.0. A removable 1,940mAh Li-Ion battery powers the phone and provides up to 14 hours of talk time.
Boost Mobile Prepaid Plans
Boost Mobile LG K3 can be paired with $35 and $45 growing data plans or $60 unlimited prepaid monthly plan. The $35 plan ($30 with auto pay) includes unlimited talk, text and data with 2GB at high speed that can grow up to 5GB (500MB after each three on-time payments, up to 3GB after 18 on-time payments); the $45 plan ($40 with auto pay) has 5GB at high speed that can grow up to 8GB and $60 unlimited plan ($55 with auto pay) comes with unlimited un-throttled data. All plans also include mobile hotspot and unlimited music streaming.
Virgin Mobile Prepaid Plans
Virgin Mobile LG K3 works with $30, $40 and $50 unlimited monthly plans. The $30 plan includes unlimited talk, text and data with 500MB at high speeds; the $40 plan raises high speed data allotment to 4GB while $50 plan offers 6GB at high speeds. All Virgin plans come with free unlimited music streaming.
