TracFone acquires Page Plus Cellular, a Verizon MVNO
Latin America’s leading wireless service provider América Móvil has announced yesterday that its U.S. MVNO TracFone Wireless has acquired Page Plus Cellular. The Start Wireless’ Page Plus is a Verizon MVNO that has around 1.4 million customers. Details of the deal are not provided in the release. However, the transaction still awaits approvals by the government regulators so the company expects to finalize the deal during the Q2 of 2013. Read more

Page Plus has lowered The 12 plan overage rates, according to Page Plus’s marketing manager Denny Scher that today made the announcement on Howard Forums. Already effective, The 12 plan customers are able to use additional talk, text and data at lowered overage rates by half after they spend their allotments, given that they have provided extra cash on their accounts. Page Plus MEBILS officially canceled
Almost all changes announced by Page Plus’s online dealer, Kitty Wireless, have gone into effect during the last two months except the one that makes MEBILS possible. Originally, Page Plus MEBILS or “Monthly Expired Bundle-in-Limbo Solution” was a possible turn of a monthly plan into a pay as you go option when plan expires if users add at least $10 per month but less than required for plan renewal to their account. Verizon MVNOs prepaid monthly plans – Updated May 17, 2013
Verizon Wireless has the largest and most reliable network of all major carriers in the U.S. Verizon uses CDMA technology, which means that a phone swapping is not as easy as with GSM-based phones if customers are not happy with service or the phone itself. Verizon’s service is primarily focused on postpaid customers and their prepaid monthly plans are rather expensive than those provided by Verizon MVNOs.

“We have just received word from Page Plus, that due to the technical difficulty that this unknown bug has presented, MEBILS is being tabled for now and will not go forward.
I apologize for the inconvenience, but I truly think this is best, since it tables the entire issue for now, and other options may be pursued in the future. Officially, though, for now, please do not expect MEBILS to function as we had hoped, and do not expect this bug to be fixed anytime soon.
I wanted to let you know so that you can properly make plans.” Read more
Page Plus $69.95 plan with 5 GB of data available now
New Page Plus $69.95 plan, announced a couple of weeks ago, has become available for purchase at the carrier’s website and its authorized dealers. Heavy data users now have a 5 GB of 3G data in addition to unlimited voice and messages for $69.95 per month. Read more

Page Plus to add $69.95 unlimited plan with 5GB of data
Yesterday, Page Plus officially announced data increase and lowered overage rates on $29.95 Talk n Text 1200 and $39.95 Unlimited Talk n Text plans. In addition, Marketing Manager Denny Scher announced that, later this month, users can expect Page Plus to add $69.95 unlimited plan for users that need more data than existing monthly plans provide. This new monthly plan will offer 5GB of data in addition to unlimited talk and text. Read more
Updated: Page Plus changes live now – data increase, lower overage rates and plan renewal options
With a little delay, all previously announced Page Plus changes are live now. As of today, Page Plus’s $29.95 plan includes 250MB of data per month instead of 100MB while $39.95 plan now has 200MB of data per month instead of 100MB. Also, overage rates on these two plans and $55 plan are lowered to 5¢ per minute, 5¢ per SMS/MMS and 5¢ per MB. Read more
Page Plus to charge new overage rates instead of standard ones when plan expires, starting November 1st
Last week, Page Plus has announced lower overage and non-renewal rates on Talk and Text 1200 $29.95 plan, $39.95 Unlimited Talk n Text plan and the $55 plan, effective October 31st, 2012. The new overage rates are 5¢ per minute, 5¢ per SMS or MMS and 5¢ per MB. However, as of November 1st, users on these plans can expect Page Plus to charge new overage rates instead of standard ones when plan expires, as it’s been the case so far. Read more
