Straight Talk has started offering its first Verizon-compatible LTE smartphone, the ZTE Rapido LTE. A Howard Forums user has spotted the phone in Walmart store. The Rapido LTE (Z932C) hasn’t been listed on the carrier’s website yet but obviously will be soon. Straight Talk ZTE Rapido LTE costs $179.88, according to the image from Walmart store and to the Walmart’s website, where the phone is listed but out of stock.
Update: The ZTE Rapido LTE has been added to Straight Talk’s website. It’s sold for $179.99. At Walmart.com, the phone is in stock. It’s listed as Straight Talk ZTE 932C and it’s available for $179.88.
This week, starting November 16, 2014, Straight Talk phones on sale are available at Straight Talk’s website and Walmart. At Straight Talk’s website, free shipping on orders $29.99 or higher is provided while Walmart offers free ship to store. Read more
Straight Talk has added Motorola Moto E to its prepaid phone lineup. The Moto E is affordable, “made to last” smartphone, splash and scratch resistant. TracFone’s subsidiary Straight Talk has added the LG Ultimate 2 and the Alcatel One Touch ICON Pop, two smartphones that TracFone itself has recently added to its prepaid phone lineup. Their pricing is the same as at TaracFone; LG Ultimate 2 is available for $129.99, while One Touch ICON Pop can be purchased for $149.99. Both operate on Verizon’s 3G network. Read more
Last week, Straight Talk has added a number of high-end and midrange smartphones to its prepaid phone lineup, but that’s not where this carrier stops in enriching its prepaid offering. Straight Talk has announced that the latest iPhones are now part of its prepaid phone lineup. Straight Talk adds iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus 16 GB versions for $649 and $749, respectively. Apple flagship smartphones can be purchased online at Walmart and in stores and at Straight Talk’s website. TracFone’s subsidiary Straight Talk has started activating tablets through its Bring Your Own Tablet (BYOT) program. Straight Talk activates tablets that are GSM-based, compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile networks and those that are unlocked. Customers can purchase BYOT activation kit now that includes SIM card (nano and mini/micro) compatible with these two networks for $9.99 at the Straight Talk website.
