Ting BYOD now allows Sprint LTE phones, soon to add Samsung Galaxy S IV, Galaxy S III Mini and HTC One to its lineup
Ting has made few important announcements in the last couple of days. First, they have announced adding Samsung Galaxy S IV, Galaxy S III Mini and HTC One to its lineup. Also, Ting BYOD program now supports Sprint LTE phones so customers are able to bring their own Sprint branded LTE handsets and activate it on Ting’s prepaid service that for some time now offers access to Sprint’s LTE network. Ting Windows Phone 8 devices to become available in May or June
MVNO Ting, that uses Sprint’s network to offer prepaid service, has announced adding Windows Phone 8 devices to its lineup. They expect to offer them in four to six weeks after Sprint releases them. That means that Ting Windows Phone 8 devices will be available sometime in May or June, 2013, according to Ting’s blog post, rather than first quarter of 2013, as they previously expected. Read more
Ting to pay ETF up to $350 per line during February for those who switch
Sprint’s MVNO Ting has announced that in February they will start offering an ETF (early termination fee) payout for customers that want to switch to Ting but are tied up with another carrier’s postpaid service.

Ting BYOD program in beta test, soon to start activating Sprint phones
Sprint’s MVNO Ting, ran by Internet domain company Tucows, has started with beta test of its BYOD program. Ting has previously announced the launch of Bring Your Own Sprint Device for the Q4 this year and as expected, it’s going to happen soon. Right now, phones that have been tested with Ting BYOD program are HTC Evo 4G, Samsung Galaxy SII (Epic Touch 4G), LG Optimus S, HTC Evo 3D 4G and Motorola Photon 4G (not the Motorola Photon Q). Ting will ship Galaxy S III pre-orders by early September; announces top-tier smartphones HTC EVO 4G LTE and Motorola Photon Q
At the beginning of this month, Ting started accepting the Samsung Galaxy S III pre-orders. According to the update provided on Ting’s blog, they are planning to start shipping those in early September or sooner, if possible. In addition, they revealed some really high-end handsets that will be ready for pre-ordering soon as well as its plans to offer Sprint’s 4G LTE data to its customers. Read more
Ting takes Samsung Galaxy S III preorders now
Ting’s parent company Tucows made an announcement today that Ting takes Samsung Galaxy S III preorders starting now at Ting’s website. Those interesting in this probably the coolest Android device that in this case uses Sprint’s 4G LTE network can choose from the 16GB version priced at $529 or the 32GB priced at $579. Samsung Galaxy S III is the first LTE-capable device on Ting. Read more
