Cricket to offer its devices and services in GameStop stores
AT&T’s prepaid brand Cricket Wireless has announced that it will start offering its devices and services through GameStop stores next month. Two companies have reached a distribution agreement after a few months of successful trial. A global video game retailer will be offering Cricket’s products in more than 2,800 stores around the U.S. Cricket and GameStop plan to complete the phased rollout by the end of October.
“We are proud to join forces with GameStop and serve even more customers across the country with our affordable no-annual contract wireless service on a fast, reliable and nationwide 4G LTE network covering more than 300 million Americans.” – said president of Cricket Wireless, Jennifer Van Buskirk.
AT&T has acquired Cricket Wireless in March this year. Since then, AT&T’s been working hard on not just migrating Cricket’s CDMA customers to AT&T’s GSM nationwide 4G LTE network but also on expanding the presence of its newly gained prepaid brand and “solidifying [their] position as a national player”.
