Cricket Wireless gives $100 to T-Mobile and MetroPCS customers for porting their number
AT&T’s prepaid brand Cricket Wireless gives a $100 credit to T-Mobile and Metro PCS customers for switching their number to Cricket’s prepaid service. The offer starts being available today online and at Cricket stores and ends on October 19, 2014. Customer can switch a number of lines to Cricket service and each transferred line will be eligible for a $100 credit. The credit will be applied to customer’s account five days before initial month of service ends.
In order to receive a $100 credit, customers need to sign up to one of the Cricket service plans that start at $40 per month. The $40 plan includes unlimited talk, messaging and data with first 500 MB at high speeds. The $50 plan increases high speed data allotment to 2.5 GB and the $60 plan to 5 GB. The $50 and $60 plans in addition include unlimited international texting to 35 countries. Cricket Wireless gives $5 discount each month if customers opt for Auto pay, which makes the plans cost $35, $45 and $55 per month. Cricket’s high speed data is limited just as Aio’s was before it merged with Cricket. LTE data speeds are limited to up to 8 Mbps and HSPA+ to up to 4 Mbps. After high speed data allotment, Cricket throttles data speeds to around 128 Kbps.
T-Mobile and MetroPCS customers can port their numbers to Cricket’s Group Save plans as well. Group Save plans are multiple-line plans that allow adding up to five lines. The second line provides $10 off, the third line $20 off and the fourth and fifth line $30 off, which saves customers $90 for five lines.
Cricket monthly plan rates include all taxes and fees.
