FreedomPop V7, FreedomPop’s First Own Android, Launches for £59
FreedomPop has introduced the FreedomPop V7, carrier’s first own-brand Android smartphone. The phone is low-end device, currently only available in the UK and Spain for £59 ($72 USD). Along with the phone, UK and Spain customers will get a free FreedomPop SIM. The SIM includes 200 voice minutes, 200 texts, 200 MB of data, as well as free WhatsApp usage, all for free.
FreedomPop V7 Specs
FreedomPop’s first own-brand Android runs 6.0 Marshmallow version of OS. It has a 5-inch (1280x720p) IPS screen, 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and a micro SD card slot for additional memory expansion up to 32GB. The phone comes with 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and flash LED. A removable 2100mAh Li-Ion battery powers the FreedomPop V7.
FreedomPop’s first own-brand Android is a Dual SIM phone so customers will be able to switch FreedomPop’s SIM card in any other GSM handset. They will also be able to insert another carrier’s SIM to the V7 and use it with other service plans apart from FreedomPop’s.
Just like customers from the USA, UK and Spain users can choose from paid plans, too if what’s included in the free plan is not enough for them. The plans range from £4.99 to £19.99 per month.
FreedomPop V7 is available at freedomshop.com on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Quantities are limited.
The carrier hasn’t mentioned when or if its first own-brand Android smartphone will be available in the USA.
