GoPhone To Sell Kyocera Hydro Shore Through Walmart
AT&T will offer yet another smartphone to its prepaid GoPhone customers. GoPhone will start selling the waterproof Kyocera Hydro Shore. The phone will be offered through Walmart stores from July 16, 2016. Besides being waterproof, the Hydro Shore is resistant to dust, too. GoPhone Kyocera Hydro Shore will be sold at Walmart for $79.99.
GoPhone Kyocera Hydro Shore Specs
In addition to being water and dust proof, the Hydro Shore features a Wet Touchscreen Operation on its 5-inch qHD (960 x 540) display that allows using screen even when it’s wet. The phone has a 1.1GHz quad-core MSM8909 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and expandable memory up to 64GB via MicroSD memory cards. The Shore has a 5-megapixel camera with video capture, digital zoom, LED flash and auto-focus, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and a 2160mAh non-removable lithium ion battery that powers the Hydro Shore and provides up to 13 hours of talk time and up to 11 days of standby time.
GoPhone’s $45 and $60 prepaid service plans include unlimited talk, text, unlimited messaging to Mexico, Canada and over 100 countries and data with first 3GB and 6GB at high speeds, respectively. The $60 plan also includes unlimited talk and text from the U.S. to Mexico and Canada and talk, text and data usage in Mexico and Canada. Both plans are $5 cheaper per month if customers enroll in auto pay. Also, both plans include rollover data. Data rolls over for 30 days after which it expires. More data can be added to these two plans: $10/500MB on $45 plan and $10/1GB on$60 plan.
The Kyocera Hydro Shore is also sold by GoPhone’s sister company Cricket Wireless as the Kyocera Hydro View. The Hydro View is $49.99 or $29.99 with activation for customers who bring their phone number to Cricket.
