GoPhone ZTE Maven launches for $59.99, carrier offers $20 rebate off select LTE phones
AT&T’s prepaid division GoPhone has added the ZTE Maven to its smartphone lineup. The Maven is a budget-friendly smartphone with Lollipop and 4G LTE connectivity sold by Cricket Wireless as well but as the Overture 2. GoPhone ZTE Maven is available in blue gray online and in stores for $59.99.

In addition to Android 5.1 OS and 4G LTE, the latest GoPhone’s affordable smartphone has a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854) display, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage (up to 3.1 GB of storage free for use) and up to 32GB of additional memory expansion via microSD cards. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with video capture and a VGA front-facing camera. For connectivity, the Maven uses Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and mobile hotspot (up to 10 WiFi-capable devices). A 2,100mAh non-removable battery powers the phone and provides up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 15 days of standby time.
The ZTE Maven can be paired with GoPhone prepaid smartphone plans:
- $60 plan includes unlimited talk, messaging and data with first 4 GB at high speeds, hotspot support and unlimited international texting from the U.S. to Mexico, Canada and 100 other countries and unlimited calling from the U.S., Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands to Mexico. Customers can add additional 1GB of data for $10.
- $55 plan includes unlimited talk, messaging and data with first 1 GB at high speeds; unlimited international texting from the U.S. to Mexico, Canada and 100 other countries and unlimited text, picture and video messaging while roaming in Mexico and Canada; international calls at a rate of 1ȼ per minute from the U.S. to Mexico and Canada, within Mexico and Canada and from Mexico and Canada to select countries. Customers can add additional $10/500 MB of data for domestic use or 1 GB of data for use in Mexico and Canada for $25.
- $45 plan includes unlimited talk, messaging and data with first 1.5 GB at high speeds, hotspot support and unlimited international texting from the U.S. to Mexico, Canada and 100 other countries. Customers can add additional 500 MB of data for $10.
- $30 plan includes unlimited talk, text and unlimited text to Mexico, Canada and more than 100 other countries. Customers can add 100 MB of data for $5.
The $45 and the $60 plans also include rollover data since last month. On these two plans, customers can use unused data from their current monthly cycle for another 30 days. Data that are part of regular monthly plan allowance or any data package that’s added will be used first and then data that’s rolled over from previous month.
Currently, GoPhone is offering a promotion through September 24, 2015 that’s giving instantly a $20 off of a select GoPhone 4G LTE smartphone if customer purchases a $25 or higher GoPhone refill card.
