Great Call announced today two new devices specially designed for its senior customers, the Great Call Splash and Jitterbug 5. The Splash is a waterproof medical alert device for quick accessing emergency services. The Jitterbug 5 is the latest version of Jitterbug smartphone ideal for 65-and-older customers. It’s a simple, easy to use smartphone that provides access to health services. Starting today, the Great Call Splash can be purchased on the carrier’s website for $49.99 while the Jitterbug 5 is currently available for $99.99; its regular price is $119.99.
Great Call Splash is IPX7 certified and can be for half an hour under water, up to 3 feet. The Splash can be used when it rains or even in the shower for additional security. Owners just need to press one button in order to connect to a professional 5Star Agent that provides needed help. The agent will locate the user with GPS technology, evaluate the situation, provide any help that’s needed and stay in touch with user until the problem is solved.
The Jitterbug 5 is a flip phone with dual displays: external 1.3-inch display with a clock and notifications, and internal 2.2-inch bright color screen. It has a 1.3-megapixel camera with picture sharing, a dedicated 5Star button, a speakerphone, voice dial, large buttons easy to press and a speaker that provides perfectly clear sound. It has a microUSB port, a 3.5mm headset jack and a battery that provides up to 25 days of standby time. Besides accessing 5Star services, customers can access urgent care for accessing nurse and doctor; they can receive motivation calls, medication reminders, daily health tips, brain games and check-in calls.
Great Call is offering GoPlans that include bundle of health services and voice minutes. GoPlans start at $24.99 per month while minutes only plans start at $14.99 per month.
