GreatCall Touch3 now available
GreatCall has added a new smartphone, theTouch3, to its prepaid lineup. The Samsung-made Touch3 is specially designed for citizens aged 50 and over, just like its predecessor, the Touch 2. GreatCall Touch3 is available for $169.99 but currently is 20% off at the carrier’s website and can be purchased for $149.99.
The Touch3 comes with a 4-inch display, 5-megapixel camera, 8GB of internal storage, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. Like previous Touch phones, the Touch3 features user interface that’s easy to use. Important apps as phone, texting, camera, photos and familiar GreatCall’s health apps as 5Star, Urgent Care, and MedCoach are in large fonts, easy to access so that there is no confusion or complexity in finding them. 5Star service allows its users to contact live agent if in trouble that will locate the user by GPS, provide help and stay on the line until the problem is solved. Urgent Care provides 24/7 access to a live nurse that can help with health issues but can also get the doctor to contact the user within 30 minutes if necessary. MedCoach reminds user to take medications regularly.
GreatCall GoPlans plans include health services 5Star, Urgent Care, MedCoach and Health and Safety Extras plus voice minute bundles.

There is also a Custom plan where customers can add health services according to their needs: 5Star for $14.99, Urgent Care for $4, Medications Reminders for $4 and Health and Safety Extras for $8 per month. Custom plan includes 50 voice minutes.
GreatCall customers can also choose from basic plans:
- $14.99 plan that includes 50 minutes,
- $19.99 plan that includes 200 minutes,
- $29.99 plan that includes 700 minutes,
- $39.99 plan that includes 1500 minutes and
- $59.99 plan that includes 2500 minutes
GreatCall customers can add additional texts to all plans – 300 texts for $3, 700 texts for $6, 1250 texts for $10 and 2500 texts for $15. Overage rate for each text sent or received over the allotment is 10¢. Add-on minutes are also available: 100 minutes for $16.99 (per min rate 17¢), 250 minutes for $34.99 (per min rate 14¢), 500 minutes for $59.99 (per min rate 12¢) and 1000 minutes for $99.99 (per min rate 10¢).
There are also data add-ons that GreatCall has doubled recently. Customers can add 20MB of data (was 10MB) for $2.49, 100MB of data (was 50MB) for $5, 200MB of data (was 100MB) for $10, 500MB of data (was 250MB) for $15, 1GB of data (was 500MB) for $25 and the new add-on with 2GB of data for $45 per month.
GreatCall also has a 100 percent U.S. based customer service that provides help to its senior customers.
