Karma Adds New $9.99/1GB Plan, Lowers the Cost of 20GB Plan from $140 to $99.99
Mobile broadband Sprint MVNO Karma Mobility has included a new low cost plan with its Pulse prepaid offerings. Karma adds new $9.99 monthly plan that includes 1 GB of mobile broadband data. In addition to introducing a new plan, Karma lowers the cost of its existing 20 GB data plan. The cost of this plan went from $140 a month to $99.99.
The cost of other plans remain the same except for the small change that makes $40 plan cost $39.99, $75 plan $74.99 and $150 plan $149.99. Also, it seems that Karma’s Pay As You Go option, the Refuel, is no longer available to new customers. It looks like the new $9.99/1 GB monthly plan has replaced it. With new plan, customers get 1 GB of data for $9.99 instead of 1 GB for $15 that was offered with Refuel Pay As You Go. However, data on the Refuel plan never expired unlike data on Pulse plans. Data on Pulse plans do not rollover. Instead they reset at the end of the monthly cycle.
Karma Mobility Pulse Plans
With new plan and changes, Karma’s Pulse plans include:
- $9.99 per month – 1GB of mobile broadband (new)
- $39.99 per month – 5GB of mobile broadband
- $74.99 per month – 10GB of mobile broadband
- $99.99 per month – 20GB of mobile broadband (was $140)
- $149.99 per month – promotional 50GB of mobile broadband until December 31, 2016; regular 25GB
The new $9.99/1GB plan is a great low cost option for this amount of data. The next best offer is from Straight Talk, $15/1 GB, followed by the $19/1 GB option from the Internet on the Go. However, if carrier has discontinued a Refuel Pay As You Go option, since it’s currently nowhere to be found on the Karma’s website, that’s unfortunate since customers could have keep the data until they’ve used it all up.
