MetroPCS Adds iPhones To Its Prepaid Offerings July 1
T-Mobile today announced that its prepaid brand MetroPCS will start offering iPhones. Starting tomorrow, July 1, 2016, customers will be able to pick up iPhones in select MetroPCS stores in Florida. Soon after it, the carrier will start offering some of the Apple’s latest iPhone models in stores nationwide. MetroPCS adds iPhones to its lineup for the first time.
T-Mobile says that MetroPCS will be offering the iPhone 6s for $649 and iPhone 6s Plus for $749. “The most powerful 4-inch phone ever,” iPhone SE, with specs similar to those on 6s Plus, will be sold for $349. The carrier will also offer iPhone 5s for $199.
MetroPCS is offering prepaid service plans that start at $35 per month. For $35 per month, customers can get unlimited talk, text and data with 1GB at high speed while $40, $50 and $60 unlimited plans offer 3GB, 5GB and unlimited un-throttled data, respectively. The plans additionally include Data Maximizer that allows streaming videos at compressed DVD quality of 480p. Watching videos this way saves data up to three times. Streaming unlimited music for free is also included in plans starting with $40 plan and higher. All plans also include mobile hotspot.
