MetroPCS Starts Switching From Sprint Promotion Jan. 21 With Service Half Off, Existing Customers Can Add Extra 5GB LTE Data Line For $30
T-Mobile’s prepaid brand MetroPCS today announced new promotion for Sprint customers who switch to their service. MetroPCS starts Switching From Sprint promotion tomorrow, on January 21, 2016 and offers it to current Sprint, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile customers. Those who switch from eligible carriers will get up to 50% discount on Sprint’s Family Share Pack pricing and a free 4G LTE smartphone. Customers who switch a single line to MetroPCS can save 22% while those who port two or more lines can save up to 50% over what they are paying for service on Sprint, Boost or Virgin Mobile currently. T-Mobile says that savings will vary depending on number of switched lines and taxes and fees based on location which users are paying on Sprint (MetroPCS plan rates already include all taxes and fees). However, ones they switch and get their discount on monthly service, they will be able to keep it as long as they stay with MetroPCS.
In addition to paying for the service up to half off, those who switch from Sprint and its prepaid brands to MetroPCS are eligible to free 4G LTE smartphones or a $50 rebate on any purchased MetroPCS phone. Also, starting tomorrow, January 21 through April 4, 2016, those who switch from Sprint related carriers can get a Bonus Data Offer; extra 1GB of LTE data if they purchase a new MetroPCS phone, activate it with one of the MetroPCS plans and keep it active and in good standing on initially activated plan.
Existing MetroPCS customers are also in for a promotion. Those who are on the $50 and the $60 unlimited plans and add a line to their existing account are eligible to 5GB of 4G LTE data for $30 per month. This offer is also available for a limited time.
T-Mobile points out that Sprint customers who switch to MetroPCS will not only receive the same amount of talk, text and data that cost from 22% to up to 50% less per month. They will also benefit from additional free features as Data Maximizer that saves users data up to three times while streaming videos, mobile hotspot and Music Unlimited that streams music without using plan’s high speed data. They will also have access to North America Unlimited for $5 per month, which allows using plan in Mexico and Canada same as it’s used at home in the US.
