Moto G Turbo Edition with faster processor launches in Mexico
Only few months after release of the latest Moto G, the third generation smartphone, a new variant of the phone has been revealed. Few days ago, Motorola has introduced the Moto G Turbo Edition in Mexico. The new Moto G Turbo phone will launch on November 13, 2015 for a price equal to $283 USD.
Original Moto G (3rd Gen.) with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, just as Turbo Edition has, costs $219.99. It has almost the same specs as the Turbo version but for the price difference, customers will definitely get a faster phone that will highly increase their experience. The Moto G Turbo Edition comes with a faster 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor instead of original’s quad-core Snapdragon 410 CPU.
In addition, the Moto G Turbo Edition has the same 2470 mAh battery as the Moto G (3rd Gen.). However, the Turbo’s battery also comes with Motorola Turbo Power in order to support Turbo charging.
Initially, Motorola’s website included information that the phone’s screen resolution has been improved as well, that it went from 1280×720 up to 1920×1080. However, soon after, the company has confirmed that that’s not the case and that nothing has changed in that field. Other specs of the Moto G Turbo Edition are just like Moto G 2015’s specs: a 5-inch HD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 13-megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD video capture, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, expandable memory up to 32GB, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, the dual-SIM card support and water resistance.
The Moto G Turbo Edition is for now announced only in Mexico and there is no way of knowing if faster variant of the new Moto G will be released in other markets as well. It happened before with other Motorola phones so it’s possible.
