Motorola Announces Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus
Updated versions of the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus that launched back in February are now official. Motorola today announced the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus, two new improved phones with “things you care about the most,” displays, cameras, storage and batteries.
Motorola Moto G5S
Comparing to the original Moto G5, the S version comes with a stronger, unibody design, made all of high-grade aluminum and no plastic. Beside the build, the Moto G5S’s display is larger, a 5.2-inch 1080p instead of the 5-inch. Its improved 3000 mAh battery lasts longer (Moto G5’ is 2800 mAh) and with TurboPower, it can be charged for up to 5 hours in 15 minutes. The Moto G5S comes with more memory, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and a 16-megapixel camera. And just like the original, the new Moto G5S features octa-core processor Snapdragon 430 processor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Motorola Moto G5S Plus
Just like the Moto G5S, the Plus model features the metal unibody design. It comes with a larger 5.5-inch 1080p display, comparing to the original’s 5.2-inch 1080. The phone comes with dual 13-megapixel rear cameras with features that premium phones usually include and an 8-megapixel wide-angle front camera (Moto G5S Plus has 5-megapixel) with LED flash and a new panoramic mode. It’s powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage or 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Just like the Moto G5S, Plus version is on 3000 mAh battery that lasts all day long and on TurboPower for fast charging. On this currently the largest Moto G phone there is also a fingerprint reader and new features as Nigh Display and Quick Reply that makes using the phone easier.
Beginning this month, both phones will be offered in various countries globally. The cost of the Moto G5S will start at €249 and the Moto G5S Plus’ at €299. In the US, we can expect them to arrive this fall.
