Motorola Moto G4 Leaks, Images Show Front Fingerprint Reader
Motorola Moto G4 has leaked few times over the past couple of weeks. Leaked images of what appears to be the Moto G 2016 didn’t show much specs but one feature is persistently present, front fingerprint reader. In leaked images, fingerprint reader is placed in front, below the screen, where speaker on previous generation of Moto G used to be.
At the bottom of the phone, first leaked image shows what appears to be an USB Type-C port, too. This feature wouldn’t be a surprise since flagship smartphones now mostly come with it. Also, the image shows Motorola’s prototype logo above the screen and likely a front camera flash.
@evleaks has also revealed the next generation of Moto G few days ago. @evleaks’s Evan Blass hasn’t provided any details on the phone except the image that shows the chin of the phone and the square at the bottom of the phone, which ones again might be the front fingerprint sensor. Blass also provided a name for the phone, which is the Moto G4 Plus.
The last images of the Motorola Moto G4, which have appeared yesterday, confirm two previous leaks. Nowhereelse.fr has published images of what appears to be the Moto G 2016. Images reveal front and the back of the phone. On the phone’s front, there is now already expected square placed under the screen that presents fingerprint reader. Above the screen, we have Motorola’s prototype logo and a front-facing camera. At the back of the phone, there is a rear camera with flash and Motorola logo.
Now that Moto G4 has started leaking intensively, it want be too long before we see the phone released. Even though nothing is official yet, experience in previous years shows that there is a lot of true in leaks. In Moto G4’s case, we’ll see if there will be one version of the phone or more given that now we have Moto G4 Plus, too. In order to have a Plus version, we need the original that can be boosted with some features and labeled Plus, right?
In fact, there are some leaked facts on having two models instead of just one, too. Twitter user Roland Quandt provided some information on Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. According to Quandt, the Plus version won’t be plus in size but in specs. Both smartphones would be allegedly 5.5-inch in size, but Moto G4 will have 13-megapixel rear camera and will cost 240 euros (around $270) while Moto G4 Plus will have 16-megapixel rear camera and will cost 280 euros (around $315). Previous versions of Moto G were available for $179.99. Also, both models will start with 16GB of storage.
More leaks in the upcoming days or weeks will confirm or rebut this leaked information. Also, some new will be revealed but only when Motorola Moto G4 becomes official, we’ll know for sure.
