Motorola Moto X Pure Edition Can Be Pre-Ordered Now
Moto X Pure Edition can be pre-ordered beginning today, September 2, 2015, according to Motorola’s tweet on its official Google+ page. Motorola doesn’t say when the phone will start shipping. However, a P3Droid that provides info on Motorola says that Moto X Pure Edition will begin shipping week of September 13. The cost of the phone starts at $399.
The company is offering three base models: “black with dark gray metal frame and black soft grip back, white with silver metal frame and bamboo back and white with light gold metal frame and winter white soft grip back.” Those who want their phone customized can do it in Moto Maker.
Motorola’s 2015 flagship comes with the latest Android OS (Android 5.1.1, Lollipop), a large 5.7-inch (2560×144) display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 1.8GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16/32/64GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for up to 128GB of additional memory. It has a 21-megapixel main camera with 1080p HD video capture, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, water repellent nano-coating and Bluetooth 4.1 LE, Wi-Fi802.11a/g/b/n/ac + MIMO, GPS, NFC and 4G LTE for connectivity. A 3000mAh battery powers the Moto X Pure Edition and provides all day usage. The phone also features TurboPower that gives users for up to 10 hours of use from just 15 minutes of charging.
Motorola’s Moto X Pure Edition is also known as Moto X Style in markets outside of the US. The company said at official announcement that the phone won’t be sold by US carriers since it supports nearly all LTE networks worldwide.
