Motorola’s Back To School Moto X sale extended through August 7
Motorola’s Back To School no-contract Moto X sale that originally supposed to last until July 31, 2014 has been extended. The Back To School promotion is now good through August 7, 2014 so customers still have a little bit of time to go to Moto Maker, customize their unlocked Moto X and get it at discounted price.
Same as previously, 16GB version of Moto X can be purchased for $299, 32GB version for $324.99 (including the Developer Editions) and the one with 64GB of storage can be bought for $374.99. Customizing the handset through Moto Maker doesn’t cost additionally unless customer chooses a wooden back, in which case it will cost extra $25. In addition to different backs, customers can change phone’s front color, accent color or wallpaper. They can also write a greeting message and personalized message or a name on the phone itself.
Almost a year old Moto X will be soon replaced with the new Motorola’s flagship smartphone, for now known as the Moto X+1, but what can be a game changer for Moto X is the fact that it will be updated with the next major release of Android, called Android L. The Android L will feature a new Material Design look with “visual, motion, and interaction design” and Personal Unlocking that makes phone recognize its owner so user can bypass a lock screen passcode. Android L update will provide the battery life increase with Project Volta, advanced camera capabilities, new features for game developers and much more. The latest Android version will be introduced in the fall.
