NetZero Discontinued Mobile Phone Service
NetZero, fixed and mobile broadband provider, which operates on Sprint network, is no longer offering mobile phone service. NetZero discontinued mobile phone service after offering it for only short period of time. The carrier has added it at the end of 2014 only to discontinue it a while ago.
Since NetZero discontinued mobile phone service, customers can now opt from mobile broadband data service plans only that have remained unchanged:
- $0 monthly plan – 200MB of high speed data
- $9.95 Basic monthly plan – 500MB of high speed data
- $19.95 Plus monthly plan – 1GB of high speed data
- $34.95 PRO monthly plan – 2GB of high speed data
- $49.95 PLATINUM monthly plan – 4GB of high speed data
- $79.95 PLATINUM PLUS monthly plan – 6GB of high speed data
With all plans, NetZero requires a purchase of a NetZero Mobile Broadband device if not stated otherwise. Currently available devices are discounted when purchased with select plans. The UMX MXL -655 4G LTE hotspot can be purchased for $39.95 (regular price $129.95) with $19.95 Plus / 1GB plan, $34.95 Pro /2GB plan, $49.95 Platinum / 4GB plan and $79.95 Platinum Plus / 6GB plan. With the same plans, NetZero 3G Stick is $14.98 (regular $49.95). The offer is available to new customers only.
Customers will also be charged $6.95 shipping and handling fee and $20 activation fee in addition to a $2.95 monthly access fee that applies to all plans except for the Free plan. Besides purchasing device from NetZero, customers can bring their own compatible Sprint device and activate with this provider’s service.
Unused data at the end of the monthly cycle expire but customers can switch to other plans with more data at any time at no additional charges. Upgrade to a different plan will go into effect the same day but customers need to contact NetZero.
