PrepaYd Wireless offers BYOSD option
Another prepaid carrier in a row of Sprint’s MVNOs is offering Bring Your Own Sprint Device option to its customers. PrepaYd Wireless offers BYOSD that includes activating any used Sprint phone that’s no longer active on a Sprint with clean ESN.
However, few limitations apply. Phones from Boost and Virgin Mobile, Sprint’s prepaid brands, are not supported as well as iPhone, LTE, Blackberry, Palm or Push to Talk phones.
PrepaYd has feature phone plans that start at $35 per month for unlimited talk and SMS and smartphone plans that start at $50 per month for unlimited talk, messaging and 3G data. The carrier has also included international texting to all plans, from the cheapest for $35 to the $60 4G WiMAX plan.
Another Sprint’s MVNO, Ting, has also announced offering a Bring Your Own Device option to its users in a fourth quarter of this year, while Kajeet, specialized in children’s safety, is already offering it.
