PrepaYd Wireless service terminated, customers have to port out now
Sprint MVNO PrepaYd Wireless has sent its customers an email yesterday telling them to “port now”. It’s been almost two weeks now since the problem with Sprint and its MVNO PrepaYd Wireless has started.
On February 14, 2014, PrepaYd Wireless has issued a press release in which they informed customers that their service has been terminated by Sprint and that they are planning an anti trust lawsuit against them. On that occasion, PrepaYd called for all of its customers, dealers, shareholders and creditors that have been harmed by Sprint in any way to join them in this anti trust lawsuit against Sprint.
Since than, most PrepaYd customers have switched to another carrier but obviously not all of them. Therefore, PrepaYd has sent the last minute email:
“From: “PrepaYd Wireless” <firstname.lastname@example.org>
Date: February 25, 2014 at 3:55:05 PM EST
Subject: PORT TO OTHER CARRIER
SPRINT IS TERMINATING YOUR PREPAYD SERVICE TODAY PORT NOW. INFO@PREPAYDWIRELESS.COM

Customers can also find more information on PrepaYd Wireless website including help with transferring their phone to another carrier or emailing a complaint to the U.S. Federal Communication Commission (the FCC) if they feel they should be given “at least 30-90 days’ notice prior to shutting down” their phone.
In order to keep PrepaYd phone, customers need to choose from one of the Sprint MVNOs that support Bring Your Own Device as Ting, Red Pocket or RingPlus.
