Red Pocket One Year Prepaid Plan Available for $149.99 on eBay
MVNO that operates on all four major US carriers, Red Pocket Mobile is offering a good deal on one of its one-year prepaid plans, exclusive to eBay. Red Pocket One Year prepaid plan that offers 1000 minutes, texts and MB of data now costs $149.99. This plan usually costs $199 per year even though eBay lists the regular cost for this plan $399. The plan includes 1000 voice minutes, 1000 texts and 1000 MB of 4G LTE data with first 500 MB at high speed. The rest of the data is throttled to 2G speeds.
The price tag of $149.99 for the Red Pocket One Year prepaid plan, 1K Standard, would cost customers less than $12.50 per month. Usually, it’s around $17 a month. This plan also includes SIM Kit with GSMA (AT&T compatible), GSMT (T-Mobile compatible) and CDMA LTE (Verizon compatible) SIM cards. Existing Red Pocket customers or those who are using a Sprint or other non-LTE CDMA handsets don’t need to use the Starter Kit SIM cards. They will just need to activate their phone at myeasyactivation.com when they receive their activation code on email.
The Unlimited Best Value year plan on eBay is also discounted. The plan that usually cost less than $28 per month now is available for $25 per month ($300 a year). For $25 per month, customers get unlimited talk, text and 1GB of 4G LTE data. Just to compare, Boom Mobile recently added a new $24.99 monthly plan that’s compatible with Verizon network. The plan includes unlimited talk and text plus 1 GB of 4G LTE data. Of course, with year plans, there is always a risk of carriers shutting down their service unexpectedly as it was the case with PTel. However, in most cases, if something like that occurs, carriers are fair and they offer some kind of reimbursement.
It’s unknown for how long the deal will be available. However, a Howard Forums user reports that the same plan last year was offered for $159.99. Also, back then, the deal was available for around two weeks or so. Still, those who want this deal shouldn’t wait for too long.
