Reference to Straight Talk iPhone 5C and 5S discovered on its website
If you click Activate/ Reactivate on Straight Talk’s website, choose Activate my Straight Talk Service, click Continue and than Help right after the Serial Number/ MEID/DEC field, under the Bar style, you will see a reference to iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. Will the phones be released, when, if they do and for how much is a lucky guess at this point. The thing is that it wouldn’t be a surprise if Straight Talk adds the latest iPhones since the carrier already offers their predecessor. When iPhone 5 was released, the price matched the phone’s full retail price.
If we put aside the iPhones pricings, what’s appealing to customers in Straight Talk’s case is monthly savings owing to their $45 unlimited plan. Up until recently, Straight Talk hasn’t been transparent with data users were able to spend during a month. To many customers, that was causing problems but to many others it wasn’t. Now, the carrier has a soft data cap set at 2.5 GB of high-speed data after which speeds are throttled to 2G. Also, their customer service is not that helpful and frustrates many users but again, many have a positive experience or more likely no experience at all with seeking help and therefore are happy with Straight Talk. That’s why Straight Talk is a very popular prepaid provider and many would be/are happy to see iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S coming their way.
