Republic Wireless New GSM Phones Coming on July 28, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus Too
Sprint MVNO Republic Wireless that announced a new GSM partner last month, new GSM phones and a new set of plans compatible with GSM service, has revealed the precise date of launching new smartphones. The carrier has announced all these changes for July 2016 but now with revealed launch date, we know that Republic Wireless new phones will be available on July 28. In addition to launching seven upcoming Republic Wireless new GSM phones, the carrier will launch two Motorola flagships, the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, on the same date, too.
Republic Wireless New GSM Phones
New Android smartphones that will be available at Republic Wireless on July 28 are Moto X Pure Edition for $349, Google Nexus 6P by Huawei – starting at $499, Google Nexus 5X by LG – starting at $349, Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) – $179, Samsung Galaxy S6 – $549, Samsung Galaxy S7 – $699, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge for $799 and two new ones, Moto G4 starting at $199 and the Moto G4 Plus starting at $299.
Republic Wireless Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus Specs
As soon as Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus were officially launched in May 2016, they have been called “the best budget smartphones available.” And they definitely are.
Both Motorola Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are 4G LTE Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow smartphones with same 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. The G4 has a 2GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of internal memory with support for memory cards up to 128GB. The G4 Plus has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. Both smartphones have a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1,920×1,080 pixels resolution. These two Motorola’s also share the same dimensions and weight, 153x77x7.9mm and weigh 155g.
The main difference between Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus is camera. Moto G4 comes with 13-megapixels main camera with dual color balancing LED flash, ƒ/2.0 aperture, 1080p HD video @30 fps, Auto HDR and 4x digital zoom. Front-facing camera is 5-megapixels with wide angle lens, ƒ/2.2 aperture, display flash and full 1080p HD video recording. Moto G4 Plus has camera with even better specs; 16-megapixels main camera with laser focus, phase detect auto-focus (PDAF), color balancing dual LED flash, ƒ/2.0 aperture, 1080p HD video @30 fps, slow motion video recording, Auto HDR and 4x digital zoom. Front-facing camera of G4 Plus is 5-megapixel with wide angle lens, ƒ/2.2 aperture, display flash and full 1080p HD video recording.
Both smartphones are powered with non-removable 3,000mAh “All day” battery with TurboPower, for up to 6 hours of power in 15 minutes of charging. For connectivity, both phones are using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS/A-GPS.
So, it’s definitely going to be a very exciting summer for Republic Wireless users with new GSM smartphones and service. Hopefully, other prepaid providers will follow Republic’s example of improving service and offerings and make the rest of the year even more interesting.
