RingPlus Free Plan 2014 to be available tomorrow March 28 from noon to 12:30pm PST
Reopening of the earlier announced free plan by RingPlus for March 28 is here. Starting tomorrow 12pm to 12:30pm Pacific Time, interested customers will be able to sign up for 2014 RingPlus free plan, add-supported, that includes 200 minutes, 500 SMS and 50 MB of 3G/LTE data.
Additional voice minutes, texts and data are 2¢ per minute, 2¢ per text, 2¢ per MB and 7¢ per picture messages. Previously, some RingPlus 2014 free BYOSD plan users were reporting that they were charged taxes ($0.99¢) on their free plan. According to RingPlus CTO that answered customer’s question on RingPlus forum, that shouldn’t be the case any more: “Hey @gonzo4012 – you shouldn’t be getting any taxes on your free plan anymore. When was that $0.99c charged?”
In addition to new activations, existing 2013 free BYOSD plan users can also become users of the new 2014 free plan. In order to switch, they need to send a ticket to firstname.lastname@example.org, their phone number and ESN by 10pm PST today, March 27, 2014. The 2013 free plan comes with more minutes, 325, significantly less texts, 70 texts and less data, 10 MB. For the 2014 free plan, new set of rules also apply, rules that prevent users from loosing their service.
