Rok Mobile GSM Service Plans Now Available, Boost Mobile’s Taxes and Fees Now Included in Plans
Sprint and Verizon MVNO Rok Mobile has ones again become a reseller of a GSM-based service. Just like previously announced, the carrier has started offering GSM plans recently on “the Nation’s largest GSM Network.” Therefore, Rok Mobile GSM service plans are this time on AT&T network rather than T-Mobile’s as it was before the end of 2015.

New Rok Mobile plans on AT&T’s network offer three options that cost $30, $40 and $50 per month. The plans include:
- $30 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 3 GB at 4G LTE, Roadside Assistance 24/7/365
- $40 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 6 GB at 4G LTE, Roadside Assistance 24/7/365
- $50 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 8 GB at 4G LTE, Roadside Assistance 24/7/365
Rok’s website notes that Roadside Assistance is available only when plan are purchased online.
Boost Mobile Includes Taxes and Fees in Monthly Plans
According to ‘The Playbook’, dealers’ latest internal newsletter, Sprint’s prepaid brand Boost Mobile will no longer charge taxes and fees additionally. Starting September 8, 2017, taxes and fees will be included in the cost of plans. Grandfathered plans will also benefit from the new offer.
Boost notes that included taxes will be sales taxes, California MTS surcharges, Point of Sale (POS) 911, TRS, TAM charges and others. However, there still will be additionally costs that customers will continue to pay for: $3 payment charge, $10 reactivation fee (one-time) as well as a $25 device set-up fee that some Indirect Retail Partners may continue to charge.
