Sprint banned PrepaYd Wireless from its network
According to press announcement from PrepaYd Wireless, as of today Sprint banned PrepaYd Wireless from its network. All new activations or refills through PrepaYd website are disabled. Funnily enough, PrepaYd was one of the fastest growing Sprint MVNOs.
In its press release, PrepaYd Wireless management informed its clients, dealers and all other party concerned, that it collects material for anti trust lawsuit against Sprint, as they say ”for what we believe have been anti-competitive and unfair business practices by Sprint to PrepaYd, Wireless Customers, Wireless Dealers, and to other Sprint MVNOs.” PrepaYd also called for all of its customers, dealers, shareholders and creditors who want to join them in this anti trust lawsuit against Sprint, to send details to them about how they were harmed and what their estimated damages were.
It is still completely unclear why Sprint decided to use this drastic measure against its MVNO by totally terminating their service. Obviously, first reason for this might be some kind of violation of their MVNO agreement or perhaps PrepaYd failed to make required payments to Sprint. If this were the case, it would be unreasonable for PrepaYd Wireless to prepare very expensive anti trust lawsuit against Sprint.
What ever the reason for this termination is, with this move Sprint is not sending very encouraging message to other MVNOs that use their network.
