Straight Talk Huawei Ascend II appeared at Walmart storesHuawei Ascend II is an entry-level Android smartphone announced for Straight Talk lineup (not officially) together with already available Samsung Galaxy Proclaim and yet to be released ZTE 990G Merrit. Straight Talk Huawei Ascend II, however, is not listed on the Straight Talk’s website yet but it’s been spotted, purchased and pictured by Howard Forum user. It’s also said that the phone is available for $100 at Walmart while on PhoneNews.com it’s said $179.99.

Straight Talk Huawei Ascend II features Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 600MHz processor, 3.5-inch touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera with video capture, 4GB SD card and runs on Sprint’s 3G network. It has Gravity Sensor/Tilt and Shake and multitasking while for connectivity, it has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Huawei Ascend II has been available for nearly a year now for Cricket and comes with Muve Music service. Its retail price is $179.99 but after instant and web discount, it is available for $99.99. On Straight Talk, the phone will be paired with $45 unlimited plan that includes international texting and possibly with $30 plan.
