Straight Talk will start offering iPhone 5 and iPhone 4 with its unlimited plans through over 2,000 Walmart stores and their website on January 11, Walmart has announced. Straight Talk iPhone 5, 16GB version, will be offered in black and white for $649.99. Straight Talk iPhone 4, 8GB version, will also be available in black and white for $449.
However, knowing that it’s not that easy for customers to spend that much money at ones, Walmart will be offering special financing for those who purchase the iPhone in the store. Users will be able to purchase the iPhone through the Walmart credit card, paying fixed $25 per month payments with no interest.
Straight Talk iPhone is compatible with a $45 unlimited plan that offers unlimited talk, text and data and $60 unlimited plan that adds unlimited international calling to over a 1000 countries.
It’s not known yet which network Straight Talk iPhone 5 will be using but according to iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 tutorials on Straight Talk, both models are CDMA so it’s Verizon or Sprint.
Staright Talk won’t be the only prepaid carrier to offer iPhone 5. Cricket is offering iPhone 5 for months now, more precisely since September 28, only a week after all the major carriers have released it. Cricket is selling a 16GB model for $499 and also has started offering a handset financing option.
