Straight Talk LG Optimus Zip available nowOnly recently, it’s been suggested that Straight Talk plans to add the second Verizon-powered Android phone to its prepaid lineup, LG Enlighten. Well, according to an image captured and posted by Howard Forums user, this phone is available now but as LG Optimus Zip. Straight Talk LG Optimus Zip is offered in select Walmart stores, for now, in areas with Verizon coverage and obviously will be listed at the Straight Talk’s website pretty soon.

Straight Talk LG Optimus Zip is an entry-level Android phone that runs on Gingerbread and an 800MHz processor. It also comes with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard perfect for messaging, a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, 3G, multitasking, support for Flash 10, 4GB microSD card included and more.

The Straight Talk LG Optimus Zip is priced at $179.99, same as Proclaim, first Straight Talk’s Android handset to run on Verizon network even though Proclaim comes with slightly faster 1GHz processor and a larger display, a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen. However, many users who are after Verizon’s coverage might also be after Zip’s physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard so this handset might be as popular as Proclaim.
