Straight Talk LG Sunset launches for $99.99
TracFone’s subsidiary Straight Talk has recently added LG Sunset to its prepaid phone lineup. The Sunset (L33L) is an affordable entry-level Android smartphone that’s 4G LTE enabled and compatible with AT&T network. Straight Talk LG Sunset can be purchased on the carrier’s website for $99.99 and on Walmart.com for $77.50 with free shipping.

LG Sunset features Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and a 4.5-inch display. The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Its external memory can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards. The Sunset has a 5-megapixel rear camera that captures video and 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies. Its connectivity features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi and GPS. A 1900mAH battery powers the Sunset and provides up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 7.5 days of standby time.
Straight Talk’s prepaid service plans start at $45 per month. For $45, customers get unlimited talk, text and data. First 3GB of data are at high speeds while after it, data speeds are reduce to 2G, which in Straight Talk’s case is around 64 Kbps. The $60 unlimited international plan includes all that $45 plan has plus unlimited mobile to mobile calls to Mexico, unlimited calls to 15 unique international landline numbers per month in 37 countries and international calling to landline and mobile numbers in Canada, China and India.
Since the beginning of this year, Straight Talk has added a large number of new smartphones. There are affordable LTE smartphones as Huawei Pronto ($149.99), Huawei Raven ($179.99), Alcatel One Touch Pop Star 2 ($79.99), Alcatel OneTouch Pop Nova ($79.99), Samsung Galaxy Core Prime ($129.99) and a phablet ZTE Lever LTE ($199.99). There is also a 4G-enabled LG Destiny ($79.99) and different versions of the same 3G phones, GSM AT&T ZTE Paragon ($69.99) and CDMA Verizon-compatible ZTE Zephyr ($69.99) and the Verizon CDMA-based LG Lucky ($39.99) and the AT&T LG Sunrise ($39.99).
