Straight Talk mobile broadband service on Verizon coming soonStraight Talk will soon offer Verizon-based mobile broadband service, Phone News reports. On their website, five Straight Talk mobile broadband plans are included as well as a hotspot modem Unimax U240C.

Straight Talk mobile hotspot plans are:

  • The $15 mobile hotspot plan with 1GB of data per month,
  • The $20 mobile hotspot plan with 2GB of data per month,
  • The $40 mobile hotspot plan with 4GB of data per 60 days,
  • The $50 mobile hotspot plan with 5GB of data per 60 days,
  • The $75 mobile hotspot plan with 7GB of data per 60 days.

Mobile hotspot device that Straight Talk will offer, the Unimax U240C, will be EV-DO Rev A. capable. Customers will be able to connect one device at a time. A HowardForums user came across the prepaid card for Straight Talk mobile broadband service at Walmart and took pictures of them (above) confirming their existence.

Straight Talk Unimax U240COne way to find upcoming Straight Talk devices including a Unimax U240C is to click Activate/Reactivate on Straight Talk’s website, choose Activate my Straight Talk Service, click Continue and than Help right after the Serial Number/ MEID/DEC field. When you click Hotspot, you will see a soon to come Unimax U240C hotspot modem. Also, if you choose a Bar style instead of a Hotspot, reference to the latest Apple’s phones iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S will show up.
