T-Mobile Might Launch New Simply Prepaid Plans On January 24
After improving its prepaid Simple Choice plans nearly couple of months ago by adding more high speed data and free music and video streaming, T-Mobile might launch new Simply Prepaid plans well improved too, according to TmoNews. New T-Mobile Simply Prepaid plans should launch on January 24, 2016. If the launch takes place, it would be exactly a year after these plans were originally launched, on January 25, 2015.
According to a leak, new Simply Prepaid plans will start at $25 per month. They will include unlimited talk and text and up to 10 GB of high speed data. Current Simply Prepaid plans start at $40 per month with 1GB of data; the $50 plan has 3GB while its top prepaid plan offers 5GB of 4G LTE data for $60 per month.
Also unlike existing plans, new Simply Prepaid plans will feature some of the goodies that Simple Choice prepaid plans have, like free music streaming and optimized video streaming. However, instead of naming these features Music Freedom and Binge ON as they’re called on postpaid and prepaid Simple Choice plans, T-Mobile will name them Music Unlimited and Data Maximizer, just like its prepaid brand MetroPCS is calling them.
The leak shows that Music Unlimited will be available on the $40 plan and higher priced plans just like with MetroPCS. With this feature on MetroPCS, customers on qualifying plans can stream unlimited music for free since it doesn’t count against plan’s high speed data allotment. MetroPCS’s Data Maximizer doesn’t offer free video streaming like Binge On on qualifying plans. Data used while streaming videos will be counted towards users’ high speed data but data will last longer, up to three times, due to videos being compressed to DVD quality (480p). Also, according to leaked image, new plans will include visual voicemail, domestic roaming and mobile hotspot support.
Leaked image has also confirmed the launch of the ZTE Avid Plus for T-Mobile on January 20, 2016. The Avid Plus features a 5-inch LCD (854×480) display, 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. The phone has Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and video capture, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 4G LTE, WiFi, WiFi calling, Bluetooth, GPS and a removable Li-on 2,300mAh battery that powers it all. The ZTE Avid Plus will be available for just $115, and MetroPCS will launch it too.
