TracFone Changes Smartphone and BYOP Plans, Data Only and One Year Airtime OptionsTracFone, which operates on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon network, has made significant changes to its prepaid airtime options. TracFone changes smartphone and BYOP only plans entirely while data only airtime cards, $50/4GB, $30/2GB, $15/750MB and $10/300MB, are replaced with only one option, $10 for 1GB of data (1¢/MB). At the same time, TracFone has reduced the cost of the 750MB data card as well from $20 to $15 but that price reduction has lasted only for one or two days before carrier has brought the old cost back. Straight Talk gives 5GB of high speed data instead of regular 3GB to its BYOP customers on the $45 unlimited and the $60 unlimited international plan. Net10 BYOP users get 5GB data increase on plans that originally offer 3GB of high speed data. Those plans are the $50 Unlimited Plan, the $65 Unlimited International Plan, all unlimited Phone Upgrade Plans and the Family $90, $130 and $170 plans with 2, 3 and 4 lines, respectively. Read more
