Cricket to release 10 phones by October, more premium phones
According to a Cricket spokesman Greg Lund that spoke to CNET at CTIA, we can expect Cricket to release 10 phones by October, $100 range entry-level phones and up to $300 range premium phones. Cricket says that their subscribers are the ones to request more premium devices, which is proved by considerable sell of Huawei Mercury, carrier’s highest-end smartphone. Cricket licensing Muve Music to foreign carriers
A month ago, Jeff Toig, senior vice president of Muve Music, said for FierceMobileContent that they were thinking about Cricket licensing Muve Music to foreign carriers. Chief Executive Doug Hutcheson also said last week that many abroad carriers with prepaid offer took notice of Cricket’s Muve Music service success. The latest prepaid smartphones 2011
It is pointless to start the articles with how prepaid industry is not the same any more. We are well aware of what is going on and how things are progressing; pretty soon, the prepaid carriers will be offering iPhone4 (more likely by prepaid providers like Boost, Virgin Mobile and Straight Talk since they all offer unlimited service) or even prepaid tablets. Cricket, for example, planned to offer its customers a tablet this year, but due to the bad timing, recently gave up the idea. That just means that it will happen some time soon. If one carrier does it, it is going to cause chain reaction. Samsung Vitality with Muve Music review – available now on Cricket Wireless
A week ago, we were writing about expecting the Samsung Vitality to be released with Muve Music service for Cricket, and now it’s here. Now we know the price, it’s available for $179.99 after $20 instant rebate, which is reasonable price considering the access to unlimited source of music downloads, songs, ringtones, and ringback tones. Also, it is confirmed that the $65 Android Muve Music plan is required with unlimited music as well as talk, text and web with no additional costs.

This time, Muve Music service is available with Samsung Vitality, instead with a feature phone Samsung Suede, the first Muve Music phone that had some flaws from the start. However, the new handset is an Android-based midrange smartphone but still the one that runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which makes the second Muve Music phone a welcome sight.
