MetroPCS Q1 results below expectation, slower growth year over year, fewer subscriber additions than estimated

In MetroPCS Q1 results for 2012, it’s been clear that this flat-rate carrier isn’t doing quite that well. The company reported adding 131,654 net subscribers, which is addition but much less than expected. Last year, in the same quarter, they have added 725,945 users, so it’s 82 percent drop. Leap Wireless’s Cricket added 258,000 new subscribers even though it’s a smaller provider. Read more
